Last night, I was watching Youtube videos (like you do) and came across this video for Midnight Star's delightfully absurd "Freak-A-Zoid". It does not disappoint.
I mean, really. This is an amazing video.
Ah, but if that's all there was to this entry, I'd have stopped typing. I haven't stopped because I made an interesting discovery. There is a SECOND video for "Freak-A-Zoid". And it's...well, somewhat different.
OK, despite having nearly identical running times, the second video is obviously an alternate mix of the song. There's also a couple of things missing. Did you notice that Midnight Star is conspicuous by their absence in the second video? In fact, did you notice the huge elephant in the room in that particular video?
There are no black people in the video.
What's the story? Was that second video produced for Europe or something? I just find it unbelievable that the video for a funk band not only doesn't feature the performers on-screen at any time, but is focused entirely on two white people. It sounds like some sort of joke.
Besides, the dude who stars in that second video is an absolute dork.
